The sharing: 5 things about me:
1. I do not like PURPLE. And I'm not going to tell you why because I come off looking bad.
2. I always wanted to have daughters never sons and we ended up with 4 daughters!
3. My dream career is to be a photographer.
4. I used to be a total, complete, absolute control freak. Time has mellowed me.
5. I do not like going to the doctor. I'm always afraid she's going to tell me something I do not want to hear.
And now, the passing on: If any of you do not like to accept awards or have already received this one and want to pass it on to someone else, please feel free to do so!
Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeletehmmmmmmm...piqued my curiousity about the color purple. Hubby and I also new empty nesters. Two sons and both moved out of state. :(
I really want to read the purple story! How can not liking a colour make you come off bad?
ReplyDeleteYou *know* you want to tell us!
Also, congrats on the award!
Congrats on the award...yes isn't being an empty nester wonderful :-)
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations....I think you thoroughly deserve it. I'm not good in purple either it clashes with my red eyes.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the well deserved award! I always enjoy your posts!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the award! I enjoyed reading about you.
Best wishes,
Ingrid
Congrats on your award, I agree with you about them.
ReplyDeleteI don't like purple either, because I begged for and got a purple coat when I was 10, but rapidly changed my mind and had to live with that coat for a long, long time. It put me off purple!
Congrats on the award! :)

Thank you for such lovely comments!
ReplyDeleteI haven't always disliked purple and the reason I do is very petty, immature, stupid and selfish. Someone I dislike very much in Hubs' family (because she is horrid and... well, she's just horrid) LOVES PURPLE. It's her favorite color. Once I discovered that about 25 years ago, I couldn't stand purple anymore. I associate the color with her. See? Not exciting. Just makes me look bad.
Maybe if I had been blogging back then (was there even such a thing a quarter of a century ago?) I would have had such wonderful friends leaving such uplifting comments that I wouldn't have allowed her to turn me against purple!
CONGRATULATIONS! Well done and well deserved... we learn and we grow.... don't worry about the purple lady....purple is very over-rated anyway.....:)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet mention! Your daughters are lucky to have such a great mom!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award. I use to be a control freak too, it's nice not being that way anymore. (well sometimes I am) I don't like going to the doctor either. A Baby Changes Everything has been one of my favorites for awhile now. Have a nice weekend.
