Bella Michelle from Southern Somedays has sent the Stylish Blogger Award my way! Receiving awards always makes the day so special! Thank you so much for thinking of me! Make sure y'all go check out Southern Somedays and share some love with Bella Michelle!
Awards are so much fun to receive and even more fun to give. But it's always difficult for me to pick and choose since I really enjoy all the blogs that I read. So, here's the deal: If you come by Empty Nest this week, while this post is up, please take the Stylish Blogger Award. If you have already received this wonderful award, feel free to pass it on to another wonderful blogger of your choice. I want to see this award out there---it's for you---take it please! OH, and please follow the other rules!
So the rules for keeping the Stylish Blogger love going are:
1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers. (This is where I made the change--feel free to keep this rule)
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award.
Here's the award:
Here are 7 things about me (although y'all probably already know these things):
1. I started a second blog called One Flew Over the Empty Nest that features my bird pictures (and some various other wildlife and nature shots).
2. I drink green tea (with lemon and sweetened with Splenda) from the minute I wake up until I go to bed. Every single day.
3. I've been quite successful at gaining back some of that 83 pounds I lost. This is NOT good news.
4. I never notice the weather outside while taking pictures. But, as soon as I'm finished, I notice that I am either sweating to death (in the summer) or freezing, like today.
5. I am left handed.
6. I'm not very good a veggie gardening but I can get flowers to grow from seeds. Go figure.
Congratulations on winning the stylish blogger award...and on drinking green tea (it is something healthy :-) I'm not real good at growing anything at the moment...the pups are doing their best to keep up with destroying most things before they bloom...oh...and try some edible flowers :-) Like nasturtium It's almost a veggie :-) Have a wonderful day! Blessings, Janet
Hey there. These are 7 really good things. Loved it. I have received this award twice within the last two days so I've been holding off on giving it. You can get so bombarded with them at one time and then it's quiet again. Nice post.
Sadly, I'm right there with you on #3. I'm back on the healthy path again now, but I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to stay on it 100%. Why does it have to be so damn hard?
You deserve this award. I love you answers. Green tea? I haven't yet found a fondness for it. I do like Mimi, grow edible flowers. For one cuz of daycare but another cuz it's fun to add them to food and watch people make faces. Thanks for stopping by, sorry it's been a day or two since I've been by. I'll catch up tonight. Take care and God Bless!!!
Ah dear twin what a lovely way to forward the award..shows how kind spirited you are. I enjoyed your answers. No big surprises as I also drink green tea all the time and have done so for years. I've got to lose the weight I've managed to easily put back on. I can't grow vegetables but I can grow house plants easily and I'm a reformed sugar-holic (sweets - I love chewy sweets, haribo bears, wine gums but stay away now although sometimes I have a binge)You'll be glad to know though that I'm not left handed (phew - that's two differences we've discovered and a million similarities!) You thoroughly deserve this award so many congratulations. Carol
Congratulations! I got two of these this week. Enjoyed learning more about you. I don't pass them on either but I do post them like you did. I have mine coming up on Sunday.
Being a transplant to the low-country of SC for 31 years is still not long enough to be called a ‘benyeh.’ If I stay until I’m dead I’ll probably go a ‘comeyeh’ since I am, originally, ‘from off’ (which is the upstate but, rules you know). By day I take care of my sweet little granddaughter, Baby M and do all those things I did when I was a SAHM raising four daughters which has translated to, ‘by day, I am exhausted.’ By night I blog, blog, blog, and blog some more or I sleep, depending on my level of exhaustion (do they still make Geritol?). I have a very unhealthy addiction to sweets (nearly any kind will do) and all comfort foods not covered under the ‘sweets’ category. I’m known for speaking my mind so, if you don’t want to know, don’t ask me. I love to find the humor in my empty nest life. I live life hard and smack into that brick wall almost daily because I’ve always had to learn the hard way. Why change now? I’m so glad you’ve come to laugh with me as I do this middle age, empty nest thing like a BOSS!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award! And you're very kind to share it round.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with the green tea drinking.I try to drink either nettle or ginger but only 1 a day - the rest are the caffeine ones!
Do try edible flowers- they're so fun to grow and look lovely in salads!
