Nina, at Brush Up On Your Reading, hosts a list making meme on Mondays. Nina says:
Here's how it works:
- Think of a particular group of good things you want to make a list on, does not necessarily have to be about books, e.g. your current book wish list, or your favorite book foods (you know, foods you love to eat while reading, if you're like me), or your favorite girly names, whatever you can think of, as long as it makes you feel good.
- If you have no ideas for a list, you can always visit my blog post to check out my theme for that week and you can take a cue from my list.
- Post your list on your blog, grab that cute ARGH button above and put it on your post too, so we'd know you're doing this meme.
- Leave the link for your post on my own 10 Good Things post for the week, if you see others doing it, comment too and let's share our good things with everybody.
- Everybody goes through the whole week happy!
This is my first time joining in with Nina's meme and I'm going to use her theme:
10 Things to do this week:
1. It's clean up from the weekend time! I don't worry about it when everyone is home but, once they've all headed back to their outofthenest lives, I hit the cleaning hard.
2. Enter preparation for graduation mode. Birdie graduates from college on May 7th and it's time to start planning the celebration weekend!
3. Blog!
4. Journal every night!
5. Prepare a wonderful home cooked meal for the college lovelies. Our two college daughters come home every Wednesday night (with friends) for mom's cooking! This is why Wednesdays are my favorite night of the week!
6. Take some time for birding! I've been slack here for a few weeks.
I haven't seen this guy in months! |
7. Take Birdie and the other Athletic Training majors (there are 6 graduating seniors) out to the beach and take a group picture.
8. Figure out some really good ways to use up the left over ham and turkey from our Easter meal.
9. Plant the squash, zucchini, cucumber and bean plants in the ground garden. Get the wildlife netting around the raised beds.
This is the 'squash garden' area- it looks better now than it does in this picture as we have since tilled it up and formed our rows...well, Hubs did. My focus is the raised beds. |
10. Mail a package for Deanie.
This is my 20th day of the A-Z Blog Challenge for the month of April. It's been a fun challenge but, hankfully, we're almost FINISHED! I just might make it!
Lucky you having your college kids for dinner every week! Congrats to the soon to be graduate!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of ham left here too, and a big ham bone. i think I'm going to make soup with it. Have a great week!
Sounds as though you've got your week all figured out :) Just reading your list has me eyeing the couch :)
ReplyDeleteI want a Weds. like you have. What fun that must be!
ReplyDeleteJoyce- Yes, that's the good thing about the two youngest going to college right downtown! I also get their laundry...LOL Too hot for soup here- sent our ham bone to Birdie's dogs.
ReplyDeleteDesiree- And, as you can see, I am sitting here blogging...oops. LOL
Cindy-It really is! I look forward to it every week.
My friend arrives tomorrow, so I've a day and a half to get this place sorted.. I went grocery shopping at 6am this morning only to find that the store didn't opne til 7am.. that was an hour wasted then! LOL have good week x
ReplyDeleteGreat list! You remind me of things I need to do and be grateful for!
ReplyDeleteBusy week. I think having cleaning at the top of the list would paralyze me. I'd skip right over it and get to the good stuff - especially those Wednesday nights with young folks around. Now that's energizing. .
ReplyDeleteClare-Oh how annoyed do I get when that happens to me?! I don't know why they don't just go ahead and open up earlier...except that at 6:00 am nobody in their right mind wants to be around me. LOL
ReplyDeleteBetty- List making does make for a good reminder for me to be grateful!
Stephanie- Just because cleaning is at the top doesn't mean it'll get done first...or at all. LOL
Yeah for Wednesdays. I am still enjoying Mike home, one day...I know.
ReplyDeleteI love your 10 things. Here the house is always a work in session. Daycare undoes whatever I do and what they don't...well the guys or dogs do. Such is life.
Take care and have a blessed afternoon.
With all you have to do, I bet the birding is very therapeutic! Is that a heron? Beautiful!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should makle out a list like that! Exciting times with the graduation coming up. YAY! I agree with you about cleaning up after people have gone. I don't bother too much when they're here.
ReplyDeleteJulie-I didn't bother near as much when the kids were younger--they always undid everything just like your daycare kids. Thankfully, we didn't have as much testosterone as you do! LOL
ReplyDeleteJudy-Yes, that's a heron. They are usually in the ponds where Tucker and I walk...until the law breakers (people with unleashed dogs) come and let their dogs chase them.
This-It's kind of useless while they here, right? Plus, it's much more fun to enjoy their company!
Looks like you're going to have a busy week as well!
ReplyDeleteHere's my top 10 for this Monday:

And see I thought that was some kind of pelican, I was way wrong indeed.
ReplyDeleteGatherer- Enjoyed your list! What a great time y'all had!
ReplyDeleteMichele-I might have thought the same thing if I didn't live around here! LOL
You have a busy, but fun, week planned! i loved planning graduation parties, such a milestone in life!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, I loved this post!
Love the graphics. I'm right there with you on #1. I clean before they come and don't worry about it while they're here. But now I need to get busy. So what am I doing? Playing on the computer!
