It's the end of another week! That means it's time for the FRIDAY HOPS!
This weeks statements:
1. I cannot eat just one of anything! Thus the weight issue. I have gotten so much better though and, if I had to chose just one thing it would be Weight Watcher's sugar free coconut candy. It's so good and I know that the sugar alcohol content is bad but I really like those things.
2. When I am in a bad mood Tucker always makes me feel better. Tucky does not like bad or sad moods so, if he sees there might be one coming on, he runs over to me and looks at me with those adorable big brown eyes and the mood vanishes! Music also helps sooth the savage beast called my bad mood. Right now, air conditioning helps my bad moods.
3. Happiness is a sweet little dog named Tucker!
4. The most comfortable thing I own is a ratty old cotton nightgown that I've had for YEARS! It's the most comfortable thing I have and I love to snuggle in it.
Next is Five Question Friday from Mama M. at My Little Life.
This HOP is a great way to get to know each other better and to meet new friends! If you click on the button, it'll take you right over there to join in the fun!
Questions for Friday, June 3rd:
1. If you had to choose, how would you prefer to choose to spend money...on landscaping or a pool? I'm going to go with a pool on this one. But, if you ask me tomorrow, I might change my mind--especially if the landscaping comes with a full-time/year-round maintenance crew.
2. (Scott likes to get things stirred up...) Death penalty, yay or nay? Nay. Suffice it to say that, through all my years and countless debates, I have never changed my opinion on this. However, I am not totally opposed to the removal of certain body parts that may have been involved in a crime.
3. What's the worst thing your kid has gotten into when you turned your back/blogged/showered/blinked? Well, when they were little, I would have to say it was the time our youngest gave herself a haircut (the stylist was able to give her what we used to call a pixie haircut and it turned out really cute). Mostly, our lovelies didn't get into things that much. I have some tales of their teenage years though....LOL
4. How often do you REALLY go to the dentist? My dad's dad was a dentist so I'm pretty good about going--and so are our girls (once, every six months). Hubs, not so much. It also helps that we have a really awesome dentist!
5. What is your favorite animal (doesn't have to be a pet-type animal)? I love dogs. I've always had at least one dog from the time I was born. They love unconditionally and are much better company than most humans I know. Second would be horses.

Tucker before the groomer last week... |
|
Tucker after the groomer- still cute! And a whole lot cooler! |
And I can't understand people who cringe when a dog walk near them. Life is so much nicer surrounded by such sweet and adoring and faithful creatures! Glad Tucker got his haircut. Can Shepherds even survive in that climate?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Judy- We had a shepherd once, Bandit. He did fine. But we had lots of shade and he was an indoor dog so...LOL I see lots of long hair breeds at the dog park and they seem to do fine- but then, I only see them at the dog park so I don't really know. There's even a St. Bernard who comes. But her owners shave her in the hot months. Hope you have a great weekend too!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading all of your answers today...Yes, a pool would be really nice in this relentless heat, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, and stay cool :)
Kathy- Yes it would! No relief in sight--hope you have a great-and cool- weekend too!
ReplyDeleteThose were fun. Have an awesome weekend. What would we do without the Tucker's in our world?
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! And may I just say that Tucker is about the cutest little dog I have ever seen?
ReplyDeleteI always like reading your answers to these questions. :) Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteWell, here's one way we are VERY different. I am not an animal person at all! When I was 2 I was bit by a dog and I've not liked them since.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those that totally ignores them, but is the first person a dog will come up to....I must have a nice smelling butt ;)
Had to laugh at your ratty nightgown...I looked at my summer ones the other day (there is hope of a summer for us!) and realized that I've had them for many years. Old cotton always feels so soft.
ReplyDeleteFollowed you over from Hilary's!

Tucker definitely looks he is the boss of the house :-)
ReplyDeleteTucker looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
carol
Debby- It would be a sad, sad world without the Tuckers!
ReplyDeleteBetty- You certainly may say that. And I will certainly agree with you!
Jessica- Thanks!
Cindy- My mom is just like that with cats and birds- she was attacked by both when she was little. Dogs are like that- my brother had a dog that would growl and snap at everyone. My dad hated that dog but that dog LOVED my dad---go figure.
Stephanie- I'm glad to know that I'm not by myself on this one!
Betty- I can't give up the comfy one either. Tucker says to tell Nico that Sarah would do right by him on the grooming issue!
Kristine- Thank you! I'll head your way in a few!
Jeff- You got that one right!
Carol- He sure is!
Have a great weekend everyone!
You're talking to a woman who can eat a whole bag of chips in one sitting.
ReplyDeleteI love the before and after picture of Tucker. So adorable. And it makes him look like a little pup again.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! So you are a dog person then? I love that picture of Tucker with all his fur shaved off. Poor little chap looks like a lollipop!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Tuna- Preaching to the choir am I? LOL
ReplyDeleteBarb-He is a little cutie pie!
Annie-Yes, I'm a dog person. He is so much cooler now- it's in the mid 90s and has been for the month of May with no end in sight. Tucky has been too hot! He still likes to go in the pond and sit down though! LOL
Hopping by from 5QF. I like your answer to #2 about certain body parts - I totally agree with you on that!
ReplyDeleteYou're blessed with beautiful daughters. I have a long way to go before my nest is empty but would love to read more about how it feels to have an empty nest. Love your blog!
mom- Thank you so much! The road to an empty nest goes by so very quickly. You won't believe it when you get there. About the body parts-I also think that the victim should be allowed to do the removal in any manner she sees fit.
ReplyDeleteI just visited at your other blog with all the bird photos....girl? You made me fill up with so much delight. And of course I couldn't resist commenting. Wow...just wow.
ReplyDeleteNow for this post....I loved Tucker ---both before and after the grooming. And one thing I wouldn't give up with foods is pizza I think. Altho I might change my mind in an hour or two. Oh and the pool vs. landscaping....I'd go with landscaping...years and years of enjoyment. Even in the 'golden years'...the pool on the other hand, would need maintenance too....yearly.
Baby Herons and a Tern Chick is my Saturday post.
Thanks for visiting with me this week....much appreciated!!!
I love tucker! what a cutie!
ReplyDeleteAnni- Thank you so much for visiting my bird blog! I have so much fun watching them. It's a hobby I picked up to help fill in the empty nest lonely hours. Isn't Tuck just the cutest? I figure I can handle the pool maintenance and, when I can't, the lovelies would take it over. But none of us enjoys yard work. LOL
ReplyDeleteHilary- Thanks!
Please give Tucker lotsa hugs for me.
ReplyDeletemy dog needs the same!!
ReplyDeleteShe is starting to get too hot!!!
But I am worried she will get mad at me :(
