I'm in Serious LIKE
Why is it that I am just now hearing about Mumford and Sons?! Seriously, the lovelies are in some kind of bigtroublemister for not telling me about them earlier!
I am in SERIOUS LIKE with these guys:
And so, the rest of my day will be spent listening to Mumford and Sons. And maybe tomorrow. And the weekend...

Never heard of Mumford and Sons - wow, you colonials are waaaay behind the times
ReplyDeleteAshley, I hadn't either and fully expected them to be a US band - but then they seemed and sounded so very English, so I checked and yup, they're ours :O)
Pretty good aren't they!
Great band. I never heard of them either.
ReplyDeleteSusan
Jane- that's one of the things I love most about them! LOL
ReplyDeleteSusan- Aren't they? Can't wait for them to come here! DD2 is going to see them tonight somewhere in the DC area.
My kids introduced me to them and I agree with you ...they are good!! Sometimes we just need our kids to keep us up to date...I know in the area of entertainment, I need the help!!
ReplyDeleteWow, really enjoyed this! Definitely going on my iPod, thanks for passing this on!
ReplyDeleteI actually saw them last August in Chicago at Lollapalooza :-) They are a hard ticket to come by...most of their concerts sell out really quickly.
ReplyDeletePS: I first heard them on the radio. We have a community sponsered non commerical radio station that plays lots of indy and up coming musical acts
New to me, too. But I so agree that they are worth a serious - and long - listen. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePam-The lovelies are usually better at updating me than they were on this group!
ReplyDeleteLucy- You're quite welcome! I really dig them!
Jeff-Of course you did. LOL We have no radio like that here, which is why I usually hear about these things from the lovelies who are now profusely apologizing for not telling me sooner. LOL
Stephanie-Agreed! You're welcome!
Love the music! Now if they would only stop singing. lol I love the strings, and just don't care much for vocalists. Maybe it's because I like just like the musical background and I can put in my own thoughts. But they are awesome.
ReplyDeleteJudy-LOL You're too funny! I love the instrumentals too but, in this case, I also enjoy the vocals!
ReplyDeleteEvening! I have to disagree with Judy - I think that the vocals are great, but they should ditch the dodge fiddle sound in the background. It makes me want to squeal like a pig.
ReplyDeleteTalented band ... just off to log into iTunes!
Annie- The banjo player is the most animated banjo player I've ever seen. Usually they just stand there and pick. I'm totally digging the dude on the keyboard...oh to be 20 years younger..maybe DD2 will have some luck at the concert tonight. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh My..I am with you, love the piano dude!!! Great music, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteShawn- He is so nice on the eyes. So nice. LOL You're welcome!
ReplyDeleteMumford and Sons made me instantly think Hardware Store. Don't know why. LOL. Anyway, I had never heard of them, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I love bands with a Celtic sound to them, so I loved them. Or maybe I am now in serious LIKE, too. I will definitely keep my eyes open for more of their songs. Thanks for posting this.
ReplyDeleteI love em! My oldest is always one step ahead when it comes to bands so I did know about them before they made a splash on some awards program recently. It's happy music ; )
ReplyDeleteRobin-LOL You are quite welcome!
ReplyDeleteJoyce-the lovelies are always at least one step ahead of me as well HOWEVER, they missed the boat on this one! Shame on them! LOL
