2. Best memory about this summer so far. So far, I don't really have one. We've been so focused on Birdie preparing and then leaving for her two year stint in Texas that I've not really enjoyed summer. Plus it's ridiculously HOT. HOWEVER, DoodleBug will celebrate her 20th birthday on Sunday and that will fast become my favorite summer memory for Summer 2011.

1. If your husband had the BIG V and you got pregnant what would your first reaction be? For the dudes, what would your first reaction be if your wife told you she was pregnant after the Big V? Who's is it? LOL Seriously, shooting myself comes to mind and then.....nope. Just shooting myself. And, maybe a law suit against the doctor? Not that I'd go on record for the oldest woman to become pregnant but FOUR Lovelies are quite enough for me!
2. Best memory about this summer so far. So far, I don't really have one. HOWEVER, DoodleBug will celebrate her 20th birthday on Sunday and that will fast become my favorite summer memory for Summer 2011.
3. How often do you change your sheets? Your kids sheets? I'm a once/week changer. Even when the Lovelies were little. I hate it--mostly putting them back on the bed. But they feel so darn good after they've been washed!
4. Having just gone through TSA, would you rather have a full-body scan or a pat-down? I choose neither. I'll just stay grounded thank you very much.
5. Since it is fair time...what's your favorite fair (county or state) memory? It's not fair time here until the end of October- and it always seems to bring cooler weather towards the end--which is the only thing I like about the fair. My favorite memory is taking the Lovelies when they were little. They so enjoyed the rides and the food and even some of the exhibits. But you won't catch me there since they've all grown up. I don't care for the fair. Too many people and too much oppressive heat. I've never been to the state fair---never wanted to go, still don't.

Really, there's not much else more comforting than your own bed-with clean sheets. Especially with shaved legs. (o: Heehee
ReplyDeleteLove clean sheets (just hate putting them back on the bed).
ReplyDeleteWhen we flew to the PNW, I had to have a full body scan AND a pat down. Yeah, I look like your typical terrorist. I hated flying before ... I hate it even more now.
1. Miracles happen! (But really, a pregnance after "the procedure" would be shocking and require a lot of discussion.)
ReplyDelete2. Best memory --- Paris in June!
3. Sheets need to be changed weekly or more often. It doesn't always happen, but nothing feels better!
4. Body scan. Less invasive and I can walk away and forget they took "pictures."
5. Hometown Co. fair is full was amazing. MN state fair on our honeymoon was fun and CO state fair while pregnant was interesting. Love fairs!
What a fun picture of your almost b-day girl. Adorable. I agree about there being lots of people and lots of heat at the fair, but I still have fun... haven't been though in 10 years. Have a fantastic weekend! Visiting from 5QF.

So sorry your summer isn't a relief from the extreme cold, like ours is, so that we can enjoy the extreme heat! (well, extreme for us) :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE clean sheets, and just put a pr. out on the line to dry. Nothing like fresh, line-dried sheets!
HD- Shaved legs is stretching it a bit. LOL
ReplyDeleteKathy-I'm that way about the sheets too- it's a royal pain to put them back on! And the scan + pat down is why I do not fly.
Karen-I wish our fair was fun. I envision a quaint country type atmosphere with neighbors and quilt/jam/etc contests...that's not at all what ours is about...it's more like a carnival.
Kimberlee-She is a cutie, even to this very day! You have a great weekend too!
Judy-I love lined dried ones too but we aren't allowed to have clotheslines in our subdivision. Stupid rule. I just bought new sheets today and am about to take them out of the dryer and put them on the bed! Can't wait for bedtime! LOL
Good answers and I totally agree on the fair one. Too many people, too expensive and I can't walk that much anymore. No interest!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your answers especially number 4!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than clean sheets on the bed is having them line-dried. Now that's special!
ReplyDeleteLined dried clean sheets, after someone else made the bed, a fresh cleaned shaved body and candle light, now that's a dream.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Pam. Take care and God Bless!!
loved your answers.
ReplyDeletenothing like clean sheets :)
My first reaction would be that it didn't work or he didn't really do it. Fun questions! I do the sheets every other week. On all my flights in Europe no one touched me at all. I did however get wanded at Buckingham palace!
