My goals for the challenge remain safe.
Water intake: Still getting in the 64 oz plus.
Exercise: I walked every day again for a WEEKLY total of 21 miles and I continued Pilates. Luckily, the heat was somewhat tolerable for most of the week! Finally!
Calories: The calories remain within the challenge limit---
Here's the breakdown for week 10:
- Monday:1178
- Tuesday:1224
- Wednesday:1242
- Thursday:1266
- Friday:1214
- Saturday:1186
- Sunday: 1280
- WEEKLY TOTAL: 8591 calories
See those delightful cupcakes in the center, front? With the sugary goodness all in blue? I did NOT eat a single bit! |
Goal changes? Not yet. However, I may be walking 4 miles/day instead of 5 by end of challenge. We'll see how it goes. 4.5 this morning and I'm still alive!
UPDATE: The not eating of the meat thing is going well. I have not missed it one bit. I did prepare Shrimp Creole Saturday night--Breezy and BestSonInLawEVER were here and Breezy requested it--but I had a veggie patty and some vegetables.
Here are the numbers for week 10:
Weight loss: -1 lb (Total for 10 weeks: 38 pounds gone forever!).
Inches: -1.5 total (chest:= -0"; hips = -0"; waist = -1.5"; neck = -0") Total for 10 weeks:-23.5 inches off forever!
Whoever decides to offer a fall/Christmas/whatever challenge to follow this one, COUNT ME IN! And let me know! Joining a challenge seems to be key for success! And, even better? You get to meet some amazing people!

BB- I cannot wait for that day! Thank you so much for continuing to stop by with words of encouragement.
Jo- My determination was stronger than the desire for the icing! A few months ago, I wouldn't have given it a thought but just popped it in my mouth!
I am so very, very proud of you Pam. You are doing so awesomely. I love it that it has just kicked in and worked so well for you. You keep this up and you'll be to your goal in no time at all. I posted today about a change but plan on keeping my walking challenge going, I'll transfer it to the other blog soon. Oh I just puff up with pride knowing you are doing so well. Keep up the great work and have a blessed and awesome week.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is YOU GO GIRL!!!! Temptation is the most lethal and it seems you've worked around it...only to succeed!!! High 5!!!
ReplyDeletePS..........finally, I read beyond your most recent post and got to see little Tucker in his carrier. What a doll face! He's the most precious. And giving you little Tucky kisses while you're walking about makes me giggle!
ReplyDeletePSS.....LOVE the apron. If she ever comes down my way for a long weekend or something, I'll be more than happy to meet with her over an iced tea or something!
You're doing great!!
ReplyDeleteI would not be able to resist the cupcakes. =)
Wow. I am so impressed that you walked away from a cupcake. You're a stronger woman than me!
ReplyDeleteJulie! Where have you been girl? I'm heading over to your blog now! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteAnni-Thank you! Tucky's little kisses make me giggle too. I'll let you know if Birdie gets that way! Thanks Anni, so much!
Brandi- Thanks! This was the first time in all my 53 years that I didn't want a cupcake!
Angela Pea-Yeah, well, it took me 53 years to get there. LOL
My God but you have willpower over junk food! I am sooo envious.
ReplyDeleteSo what's your secret for resisting the cupcakes. That would have been a tough one for me.
ReplyDeleteMichele- And it only took me 53 years to get here. LOL
ReplyDeleteAmazing! What willpower! My problem is 'social eating.' But I'm working at keeping my blood sugar balanced and that's helping a LOT. Your per-day-calorie count is just where I need to be, but I couldn't do it without eating meat. How do you get enough protein? lentils? nuts?
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a terrific job!
Joyce- I think it's just being sick and tired of being overweight. And knowing that sugar is my weakness and that, if I eat it, I might go back to it full time again. I just can't fail this time!
ReplyDeleteJudy- Thank you! Protein comes from leafy greens, beans, tofu, and I do still eat fish from time to time.
I love reading these updates. :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the fight -- you're doing great!
I totally understand your not wanting to 'even go there' with sugary things. I need to completely stay away from things like cupcakes and frosting or I'd be in the middle of them before I knew it. You are an inspiration...great going, and look at all you are doing for yourself...wow~
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Good for you! I need to cut out the sugar. It's starting to affect me adversely digestion wise.
ReplyDeleteYou continue to do really well! 38 pounds gone for ever! Good for you!!!!
ReplyDelete38 down is fabulous. I would have caved for those cupcakes... you're a better woman than I am! ;)
