My goals for the challenge remain safe.
Water intake: Still getting in the 64 oz plus.
Exercise: I walked every day again for a WEEKLY total of 25.42 miles! WHAT?! That's right! I've been taking Tucker out for his morning walk and then going back out for some serious walking! Next week, 5 miles/day! Saturday and Sunday are recovery days so I just walk Tucky on those days. I also did the Pilates for abs and arms. IF YOU NEED SOME MUSIC SUGGESTIONS GO TO Walk by jog.fm. Great site! All you do is plug in your walk/jog/run time and they will give you
Calories: The calories remain within the challenge limit---
Here's the breakdown for week 10:
- Monday: 1254
- Tuesday: 1296
- Wednesday: 1180
- Thursday: 1319
- Friday: 1287
- Saturday: 1344
- Sunday:1230
- WEEKLY TOTAL: 8910 calories
Goal changes? No, it looks highly likely that I'll be walking those 5 miles/day by end of challenge which is what I hoped to do!
UPDATE: The not eating of the meat thing is going still going well. I have nearly perfected the veggie burgers. And we're enjoying all the fruit and veggies! Debbi's recipes are really helping me out on this one!
Here are the numbers for week 11:
Weight loss: -4 lbs (Total for 11 weeks: 42 pounds gone forever!).
Inches: -2" total (chest:= -2"; hips = -0"; waist = -0"; neck = -0") Total for 11 weeks:-25.5 inches off forever!
REMINDER: Whoever decides to offer a fall/Christmas/whatever challenge to follow this one, COUNT ME IN! And let me know! Joining a challenge seems to be key for success! And, even better? You get to meet some amazing people!
Hope everyone has their BEST WEEK EVER!
thats great work!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Thanks for the suggestion for the walking music too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an excellent week! Your calorie totals are inspiring. Isn't it fun to walk with a little one? I bet he is a cutie pie! Have another terrific week!!
ReplyDeleteBlogged- Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBetty- Thank you! I think you'll love that site!
Michele- It is fun walking with Tucker but I have to take him back home and go back out to get my serious walking in! He wants to stop and pee on every tree we pass! LOL
Way to go! If you don't already have one, soon you'll need an entire new fall/winter wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! That's a whole lot of walking especially when it's been a tad warm out your way.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kathy, new duds for the fall - that would get my attention.
Kathy- Maybe winter. I'm not falling out of my clothes just yet. Unfortunately. LOL
ReplyDeleteStephanie- The warm is not nearly as bad at 6 in the morning as it is later in the day. We've cooled to highs in the low 90s AND, this week, high 80s! When it's been 100+, this feels good!
YEAH!!! Pam, AWESOME!!! Love it and love that fact you are doing so well. I am so proud of you and all that work your doing. You keep this up and a new Thanksgiving/Christmas outfit is on the horizon. Oh I am so happy for you Pam. YEAH!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care and keep up the great work. Blessings my friend.
Wow - you are doing great! I am just finishing hosting a 101 days of summer challenge on my blog - but plan on doing a Labor Day to New Year's challenge - I'll let you know if you want to join!

ReplyDeletePam, 42 lbs. in 11 weeks is amazing! Co gratulations on your hard work and commitment!
ReplyDeleteYou can try the Thundershirt for Tucker, so far it hasn't worked for Winston. The only storms we had, I was in Thornton and Winston and Hubby were in Loveland. I hope, I can snug it on him a little better which should calm him more. I know it has worked for many of dogs in the pet blogging world.
Now, I have to catch up on what's been going on in your life. Bye, off to read your blog.
I am so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI am so ridiculously proud of you I can barely sit still. What an astonishing great loss for 3 months! My goodness!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the more I exercise, the more I can get hungry. On days when my appetite is zen, I feel free to exerise a lot. When it's a big ragey, I try to be more still so as not to awaken any sort of binge monster. I'm such a wuss.
But yeah, you, you ROCK!
I am seriously thinking of doing a challenge, as you know, but justneed to figure out....the hows and whats and all. I'd rather have a partner who is in sync with my ideas....easier when a couple people can share the rah-rah leadership.
well done, this is a great loss, esp after last week! See, we're not machines, so one week it's small loss and next week big loss!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so well.
I love reading about other empty nesters! Thanks for sharing your journey.
ReplyDeleteWow fantastic...let me know if you hear of a Fall/Christmas challenge I might join in. I've cleared off the treadmill and have started putting in low mileage. I've had three back surgeries so I have to go low, slow and easy, but it still helps!
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Julie- Thanks! I have been so determined to do it for keeps this time. And I owe a great deal to you for your inspiration, motivation, and kind heart! Not to mention introducing me to the challenge! I am forever grateful!
ReplyDeleteBiz-I would LOVE to join! I definitely believe that joining a challenge is the way to go!
Shawn- It is a HUGE number, I know. But my determination has paid off. Well, that and counting calories, exercising…LOL We had massive storms yesterday all afternoon and night but, for some reason, Tuck did fine. But I still want to know more about it!
Debby- Thank you so much!
PD- Thanks! I’m sort of proud of myself…LOL I can see where the effort and determination have paid off. I know what you mean about being a wuss…that’s the way I am about getting within one mile of sugar! Let me know what you decide about a challenge. Maybe someone who has led a challenge before would be willing to co-lead? I wouldn’t know what to do or where to start!
Mimi- Thank you! I know, and I’m am almost to the point where I embrace a loss- big or small!
Betty-I am thinking about it. BUT only thinking. LOL
Empty-You’re quite welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Sush-Princess Dieter and Biz (comments above) both have challenges in mind! THREE back surgeries? Be careful! And remember, slow and steady wins the race!
42 pounds? That is EXCELLent!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and loved the photo of the red fire hydrant and the 'wee bit' of tinkling...what a hoot. [the post below this one]
Gulf Waters
Hope your week is off to a grand beginning!!
You have been doing so well I hope you plan to keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteAnni- Thanks! I'm so glad I joined the challenge, it made all the difference! Tuck loves to pee on that hydrant! LOL
ReplyDeleteLindyLouMac- I do plan on keeping it up! My motivation and determination have remained intact. So far. Thanks!
I am so impressed by your 5 miles a day...wow!! I believe you are the winner in pounds lost for our little challenge. Keep up that momentum!
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS!!! What great work!
