Have a FANTASTIC weekend!
This week’s statements:
1. I don’t remember what I was doing during major national/international events. And I don't know why. You know how everyone says, "Everybody remembers what they were doing and where they were when blahblahblah"...? Well, I don't.
2. I love a storm. But NOT a major storm like a hurricane or a tornado...nothing along those lines. Just this morning on my walk, the outer bands of Irene were so amazing to watch- I could see the circular pattern as they moved overhead. AND I'm heading out to the beach with my camera in a bit to see what I can see and capture! (Which will probably be a whole bunch of
3. When I lose socks in the dryer, I think---I don't lose socks in the dryer so this one is moot.
4. My favorite snack to eat while watching t.v. is NOTHING. Snacking while watching television is a trap that I no longer take part in! It was responsible for packing on a good many of these excess pounds I'm trying to get rid of!
Next is Five Question Friday from Mama M. at My Little Life.
This HOP is a great way to get to know each other better and to meet new friends! If you click on the button, it'll take you right over there to join in the fun!
1. Did you make any fun purchases this week? Nope. I was busy blowing raspberries in the general direction of hurricane Irene to keep her at bay.
AND, new to me this week is FRIDAY FRIEND CONNECT with Jan over at Midlife Parenting
Well, I did it my friend. I signed up on the Live Strong site. One day down and so far so good. It is awesome how they calculate everything for you. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteI am worried about you and the storm! Do you have to evacuate? Please be safe.
Susan
Susan- YES! I am so happy for you! Just take it one day at a time and DO NOT stress if you have a bad day. Just accept it for what it is and move on! Live Strong is a great way to keep track! No evacuation here thank God! Only getting the outer bands- and they are so amazing. You can see their circular flow and they look so close to earth. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like what you said about NOTHING for snacking while watching tv. GFY!! Marvelous pictures on the right side. Happy Friday Following :-) Hope you can stop by my place and return the favor soon. http://www.shaunanosler.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteShauna-Thanks for stopping by! I'll be over to visit ASAP!
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! I know what you mean about a storm....
ReplyDeleteYet another blow for Miracle Whip...mayo with olive oil - yes! Home-made is even better. More olive oil.
ReplyDeleteI love to iron clothes. It's not exactly a regular household chore these days, though.
Stay safe from Irene!
I can't hear the words "lose socks in the dryer" without thinking of this:
ReplyDeleteMy parents used to own a rental beach house on Edisto. Every time we would go there, my dad would find a single sock or two (or five!) here or there on the lawn or in the shrubs or in low tree branches. After a long time, we came to realize that the lint filter in the dryer was partially disintegrated, they got blown out the vent, and that's where all the mysterious socks came from!!!
Also, Hooray for Duke's Mayo. A home-grown SC product. "All the good southern cooks use Duke's"
Do you use the olive oil mayo in place of regular mayo for all items? I use the light Hellmans-is the olive oil combo better? I do like mayo but have been meausring before using instead of just glopping it on : )
ReplyDeleteI am not a huge fan of storms! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteGood for giving up snacking, can't say that I always stay away from my snacks but I don't indulge every time I watch television either or I would be in serious trouble LOL.
Stephanie- I've never tried to make my own but that sounds great! Homemade anything is better anyway! Ironing? What's that? LOL We're safe- just the outer bands passing by all day long.
ReplyDeleteit's- That is a hilarious story! I'd remember that too! LOVE me some Duke's mayo!
Joyce- Pretty much. I've tried the light Duke's but don't really like it that much. So I tried the olive oil mayo and it's wonderful! I can hardly tell the difference between it and Duke's! Glopping mayo is the way I like it. Can't do it anymore though! LOL
Lucy- I was in serious trouble from snacking and everything else that went into my mouth. Getting in shape now- slowly but surely.
FM- Thanks! I'm heading to your place now!
Not Friday again! I've spoken to you about this frequency before! I'm still trying to catch up since the last one!
ReplyDeleteGreat answers...every time. You just have a knack of making everything you say sound funny and/or interesting :)
Hope you have a great weekend!
We have just been watching the news concerning the approach of Irene and the damage already caused...hope you're OK???
ReplyDeleteDesiree- I know, I know! And I keep trying to slow things down but the universe just isn't listening! You are too sweet! Thank you! We are fine- just had the outer bands...well, we're still having those...so we are only dealing with winds and a little rain. The winds are only around 25-30 mph so not bad at all!
ReplyDeleteUsually, I'm a mayo girl but every once in awhile I'm a whip chick.
ReplyDeleteI love ironing too, but that's about it for chores. I'll take clothes over appliances any day. Irene sure looks menacing, hope you guys are going to be ok. Let us know when it's all over.
ReplyDeleteLove the answers..and I'm with you --- NO snacking while watching tv --- okay repeat after me.... NO snacking while watching tv
ReplyDeleteMrs! Where have you been?! I've got to hop over to your blog and see what's up!
ReplyDeleteAlessandra-IRONING? Seriously? ICKY POO! LOL I might change my opinion about clothes and appliances once all this excess weight is GONE!
Brenda- Thanks! It took me a while to get to the NO snacking while watching tv but I'm there! And I'm chanting with you!
Good for you with the no snacking... I usually avoid it by not watching tv!
