I am seeing...the different effect the wind has on the magnolia tree as the huge limbs sway slowly while it's leaves flutter.
I am hearing...various classical pieces on Pandora.
I am smelling...nothing really. My nose is still quite stuffy. :(
I tasted...delicious maple syrup on a buttery, gluten free pancake this morning.
I am feeling...the warmth of the sun as it shines through the window and warms Tucker's soft fur.
I have a QUESTION but first, the setup: a couple of weeks ago, DoodleBug and I were at Michael's (yes, we spent way too much money) and saw something we really want to make. Our question is this: does anyone know where we can find the pattern and do you think it's knit or crochet? The employee who knows all things knit/crochet was not there and hasn't been on any follow up trip--and yes, I spent too much money on those trips too.
We really want to make this! Isn't it lovely?! |
This is the yarn we think they used. |
And last- but far from least: Today is the last day to enter for a chance to win a copy of Margaret Norton's book, When Ties Break A Memoir About How to Thrive After Loss. You can read my review or just tell me in a comment on this post that you want in! It's really that simple!
Hi Pam, My daughter in law is one heck of a knitter her blog is http://www.bitoflife.com/and I bet she might know.
ReplyDeleteKnit Picks might know. I am not a knitter.
I was wondering about the diary and I haven't had a chance to go back.
I hope you are feeling better soon.
Looks like crocheting to me...I'd Google it using descriptive words (circle crocheted blanket pattern) and see what pops up
ReplyDeleteMy vote is crocheting. I do both, and the stitches look like crocheting :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like a giant version of the doilies my grandmother used to crochet.
ReplyDeleteI haven't got a clue but it is really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks like crochet to me. Ravelry dot com might have some similar patterns, they've gorgeous stuff.
ReplyDeleteWill check out that diary!
just been to ravelry and check this out!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/radiating-star-blanket
it's knitted but very similar to your pic
FG- Thanks! I'll check both out! It's driving us nuts. I can't believe they put it up without a pattern!
ReplyDeleteTaryn- Thanks! I'm looking and have found one that might work.
Betty- I hope it's knitted because crocheting and I do not get along. LOL
Maren- I hope not because knitting is all I do. And I don't even do that well. LOL
Grams- YES! Maybe that's why we like it so much!
Debby- We really love it! I hope I can find something similar at least. That's easy enough for us.
Mimi- Thanks! I went to the site and it is very pretty. If I can't find one with the pointed ends I will try to knit this one! Thanks again!
Not sure if you want it to be a crochet pattern or knit. But I really think that this one is crochet. The stitches look like double or even treble crochet. I think that I would return when the expert is in-store. Leave your purse at home LOL
ReplyDeleteRavelry is a great site for free patterns. Two others are knittingpatterncentral.com and crochetpatterncentral.com. Click on afghans for tons of patterns - all free.
I agree with most, crochet. I would be very surprised if it's knitted but, either way, it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. BTW, we had gluten free pancakes this morning and they were fantastic!
