diary of 5 (plus a question and a reminder)

Diary of 5 is the sister community to The Simple Woman's Daybook that Peggy created to give our senses a gentle work-out. Peggy thought it would be a good idea to get more in touch/tune with our surroundings by listing what we are seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, smelling. In other words, get in touch with our senses. (Thankfully she didn't include getting in touch with our mental capacity). It can be in past or present tense and including a picture (or two or three or...) is perfectly wonderful as well.

I am seeing...the different effect the wind has on the magnolia tree as the huge limbs sway slowly while it's leaves flutter. 

I am hearing...various classical pieces on Pandora.

I am smelling...nothing really. My nose is still quite stuffy. :(

I tasted...delicious maple syrup on a buttery, gluten free pancake this morning. 

I am feeling...the warmth of the sun as it shines through the window and warms Tucker's soft fur.


I have a QUESTION but first, the setup: a couple of weeks ago, DoodleBug and I were at Michael's (yes, we spent way too much money) and saw something we really want to make. Our question is this: does anyone know where we can find the pattern and do you think it's knit or crochet?The employee who knows all things knit/crochet was not there and hasn't been on any follow up trip--and yes, I spent too much money on those trips too.

We really want to make this! Isn't it lovely?!
