A Few Morsels
How in the world these weeks keep flying by is beyond me. At least we have Friday Fragments to look forward to at the end of every week! Just click the button and you can join in the fun over at Mrs. 4444's Half-Past Kissin' Time!
It's been a wet week around here. The outer bands of Isaac reached all the way from the gulf to us. Downtown Charleston flooded like crazy but that's not really uncommon down there. Every time there's a heavy rain, a full moon and it's high tide, there's flooding in Charleston.
It's college football weekend, y'all! I'll be planted in front of the television. For the season. Preseason is nearly over for the NFL. Fall is on the way. I'm in 7th Heaven! Birdie and Evwardo have headed to the Clemson/Auburn game this weekend. Lucky ducks. Not that I pull for either of those teams but just to be there would be fun! They went because Evwardo went to Clemson and Birdie has always been a Clemson fan and they both enjoy football. Or is it the tailgating? Hmmmm.....
I'm at the end of Week 2 of my 8 week commitment to the Synergy workout program! And I feel better already! If you want, you can read my daily journal entries by clicking right here.
I had the opportunity to review a wine guide on YESTERDAY'S POST. The author wrote 21 of these wonderful wind guides and you can pick one for FREE! Just click HERE for the link.
All in all, it's been a quiet, uneventful week. Except for a couple of things that I'm keeping to myself, temporarily. Don't get excited- no one's getting married and no grands are on the way. The only bad thing is that the heat just will not go away. We had a couple of days' reprieve and that was it. Although the evening breeze does have a hint of coolness in it. I am ever hopeful that we won't have to wait until the end of October for it to feel like fall around here. I'm quite tired of being hot.
That Blue Moon was gorgeous last night! Did anyone else enjoy the view?
Hope y'all have a fantastic weekend!

How can you ask me not to get excited with a teaser like that?!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the football!
Stephanie- Ha! I'll share in a post soon..ish...I will! It's going to be on ALL DAY LONG! And tomorrow too! WooHoo!
ReplyDeleteI know what I mean about football, I can't wait to see my Giants repeat all the way to the Super Bowl . Would love to go hot an NFL game, but since we have no team in la, it would be pretty boring to go to the stadium by myself....lol
ReplyDeleteAlessandra- There's only one thing I don't like about you...your choice in NFL teams. The Giants. Really? LOL I'm kidding. Love me some Eli! Well, come over here and we'll go to Charlotte to see the Panthers- it's only a 3 hour drive! We play the Giants week 3!
ReplyDeleteWe normally have nice weather and get a few days over 100 degrees each summer. This summer is 100 to 106 degrees most days. Very unusual weather for us. So many blogging friends love football.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, enjoy your games. I just can't get into it :( Have a nice weekend.
I'm in Mississippi and I'm tired of the heat too. We have had nonstop rain, but it hasn't cooled us down any.
ReplyDeleteI also saw the moon. It was gorgeous.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
It was a pretty moon. My daughter got engaged looking at it last night. :)
ReplyDeleteSo I will be having a wedding. I am so glad he finally proposed, now I can talk about it.
I hope you have a nice weekend watching football. We finally got some cool air and it is just so nice.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Debby- I am not a fan of weather doing that. This summer was hot but not as hot as last year. Or so it seems. It has just been hot for a really long time because fall and winter never showed up last time. Football isn't for everyone. If I hadn't grown up around it I might not love it either. :)
ReplyDeleteLaura- The rain doesn't seem to cool us off either. Just makes the humidity worse. Thanks for returning the visit!
Kim- Congrats! I'm so excited for them! And for you too! I can't wait to hear all about the plans!
Thank goodness the humidity has gone here...hope it doesn't return! Like you I want to open my windows & breathe!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteHumid here ... 98% today. But then we've got Isaac visiting us, bringing rain most of the time, so I'm NOT complaining. Although with a temperature of 77, it just doesn't seem right to not be able to have the windows open. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear your news!
Oh, and no blue moon visible here ... thanks to Isaac. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe moon was gorgeous last night. I mentioned it was a blue moon and my grand daughter who could easily see the moon kept asking where the blue moon was, she was not happy to realize it isn't really blue.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about football coming, although not thrilled with substitute refs, the refs we have are bad enough some days, at least they know the rules, Btw, go Steelers.
Our temperatures have fallen some, now we have 80 degrees during the day, but in the 50s by evening, great sleeping weather and close to perfect for me. I hope you get a break soon.
