Let's Get Creative
This is a re-post of the 'Name SonInLawToBe' because we need more suggestions!
With GRADUATION under our belts, it's time to focus on a wedding!
Most of you know that these two became engaged a couple of weeks ago on May 3.
Most of you also know that Breezy is already married and her hubby's nickname is BestSonInLawEVER. Which, as hindsight often goes, was probably not the best thinking on my part. You know, having four daughters and all.
So now, I find myself faced with coming up with SonInLawToBe's nickname. Easy? Maybe.
In other families. But not ours.
In all honesty, the lovelies call the relationship between the two 'boys' a bromance.
That being said, BestSonInLawEVER does not want any future sons-in-law to have a name that one-ups his.
SonInLawToBe wants to one-up BestSonInLawEVER.
Don't worry. It's ok, as it really is all in good fun. HOWEVER, the nickname for the new son-in-law has to be good. Clever. Just right.
So, I put it up to y'all, my most delightfully creative, funny, clever bloggy buddies.
Your assignment, should you decide to accept it, is to come up with a nickname for the son-in-law to be.
Their newest 'thing' is photo bombing---here's BestSonInLawEVER who wants to pick the winner.
Here's SonInLawToBe, who wants to pick the winner.
I'm thinking the lovelies and I will pick the winner.
After all, the winds of hormonal stasis remains in the direction of the feminine.
There will be a prize for the winner to be disclosed at a later date!
I'm thinking I'll run this for at least one week.
Just leave your idea(s) (Yep, you can have more than one!) in the comment section!

I have strained my poor little brain trying to think of entries for your Best Son in Law names contest. (Not hard these days!)Everything I thought of just made the newer one sound like he was second string or second round draft pick. We can't have that!
ReplyDeleteI think the most diplomatic way to give this guy a name to live up to and not delegate him to the back seat, would be to have Best Son in Law Ever (A)or (1) and Best Son in Law Ever (B) or (2). You still have the option of adding Best Son in Law Ever (C&D) or (3&4).
I must now go rest my brain cells. Diplomacy is so stressful. No wonder our current administration sucks at it!
Wendell says that for a carrot, he could give any of the guys a good title- Grand Carrot Poo-Baa, King of Carrots, Benevolent Horse treat guy, etc, etc. That's Wendell for you !!!
Hummmm, no matter what I think of it just isn't a match for the first one. Good luck on this one.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!!

Best means best, so I think you have to work from there.
How about 'mrslovelynumber2'? Otherwise you'd have to change bestsoninlawever to firstbestsoninlawever and go on from there. Or you could go with bestadoptedsonever.Oh man, this is too hard, I must rest now...:)
ReplyDeleteActually Pam, I think you said it yourself...how about...The Newest Thing? IDK...I feel your pain. I just call all my daughters-in-law daughters-in-love and it works for us all. I did put on FB Mr Wonderful, cause that is what my Grandmother called my husband. When I lived in Ga while going to school, I'd often visit her on her farm. She'd have to listen to me go on and on about how 'wonderful' my date of the last 41 years was and dubbed him Mr Wonderful. It's been his family moniker since then!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep thinking but I think The Newest THANG might just work? Good luck to you and the lovelies!
