Freezy Hodgepodge

It's freezy here! WOOT! They said we might even enjoy a flurry of snow. Maybe even 2 flurries. And yes, I'll take it because that's about all we get. Which is such a shame as I do so adore snow- it's just gorgeous when it's falling and I love the way the ground sparkles in the moonlight when there's snow all over...just gorgeous.. Unfortunately, they lied. There's no precip AT ALL. (sad, pouty face).

A girl can dream though...meanwhile, I'll cheer myself up with a little hodgepodge!

1. Describe a typical Sunday from your childhood. We got up every Sunday morning and got ready for church. When we came home, we had a big Sunday dinner- which usually included a roast--and then- FOOTBALL on television! WooHoo!

2. How comfortable are you with uncertainty? Explain. I am not usually comfortable with it at all. I like to know the outcome. I like to know the end result and THEN live through the process. I've always been like this.

3. What have you accomplished recently that might be described as crafty, as in 'arts and crafts' crafty?  If crafty doesn't work for you, how about handy? Or both? Not much lately. There are two things that might qualify but they're Christmas prezzies so I can't say.

4. Have you ever worked in a 'food place'? What did you take away from the experience? Yes. I took away that I hate working in food service, that I hate serving people, that the general public is mean and rude and that it's a stinky, thankless job.

5. Cold turkeytalk turkeywhat a turkey...in recent days, which turkey phrase or idiom best applies to you and why? Click on the word turkey if you need to read more about the meaning behind each phrase. Probably 'What a turkey' because of all the muddy brain issues I've been having. On the bright side, I have provided ample hilarity for my students.

6. If you could have any one guest join your Thanksgiving dinner table, who would it be? Ah, wouldn't y'all like to know...LOL

7. What is one thing you must accomplish today? It's my long day so I'm going with- I just need to make it through the day. With a smile.

8.  Insert your own random thought here. I sent Deanie a card last week with a little surprise in it. It came back to me yesterday. I forgot to put a stamp on it. See? I told y'all 'what a turkey' best applies to me right now. Sheesh.

  1. Don't you just hate it when you mail something only for it to be returned because you forgot the stamp? I, too, am guilty! My excuse...AGE! :)

  6. April- This is the first time I've done it but, YES, I hate it. And YES, it's age. LOL

Cathy- That's so sweet! And it did! Must have been your good wishes!

Judy- Yes! No. We didn't get any. But we still have cold---though it's probably not that cold to you. :) I have been a football fan my whole life! It's one of the best memories I have as a child and it was always with my dad.

Kim- I liked them too. Cause Joyce wasn't too tough on us. LOL We got NOTHINNG. But we are cold and I do like that. Thanks!

Kathy- We're not anywhere near hot today. Highs only in the 40s and I love it! thanks!

  9. Oh I've done the no stamp thing before (never in my 20's or 30's!). So annoying. It's frigid here, we had snow yesterday, but nothing stuck. I'm glad. I do love snow, but it's a little early for me before Thanksgiving.

  10. Joyce- This was my first time. And everyone had quite a laugh over it. So nice to be the comic relief at work AND home. LOL

  11. It is maddening when a piece of mail comes back because of no postage. It hasn't happened at home as often as it happens at work, with the stupid postage machine that pulls two envelopes through and only stamps the top one, or it gets pulled through crooked and the postage mark isn't complete. I enjoyed reading your answers!!

  12. Terri- Argh! That definitely would be annoying. Thanks!
