Tuck and I love walking down to the marsh on the nature trail.
It's a nice walk, over 2500 steps on my Fitbit, with woods and a dog park---
---the marsh at the end----
---when the timing is just right, the sunrise---
---- birds searching for breakfast or just watching us pass by---
---and, sometimes, I practice taking those annoying selfies out there---
I also appreciate the time change as we got back home way earlier than usual. I like that. I am more of a morning person than a night person so, dark coming earlier won't bother me.
But there is something that bothers me. It bothers me a lot.
Yep. Those were waiting for us along the nature trail and at the end.
They're even more disgusting and distracting than those hideous power lines tampering with the beauty of the sunrise---
If I thought for one split second that the police would fingerprint those cans, go find the culprits and slap a HUGE fine on them, I would have taken those cans straight to the police station.
In my mind, it's kids. They've discovered that no one will come down there and catch them doing things they are not legally supposed to be doing.
I'll give them this though, they're brave. There is NO WAY I would go down that nature trail at night. Nature takes on a whole new perspective after the sun goes down.
I agree, it's kids partying and drinking! Yes, stay away from the trail at night because you don't know what misfit you might come across!
ReplyDeleteRight?! Sometimes I think I'm paranoid due to all the serial killer programs/movies I watch and sometimes I think they just serve to make me smarter. LOL
DeleteThat marsh looks like it might be home to some gators, as well as other nasty things at night.... kids or not, they are kind of nutty to be doing their drinking out there at night!
ReplyDeleteEven with the power lines, the sunrise is gorgeous, and I love the selfie!!
I have never heard of any gators being sighted out there. But you never know! And it is nutty to be doing that out there. Or doing anything out there for that matter. At night. Thanks!
DeleteThinking you got some spam in that above comment. Good gracious! Anyway, what a beautiful trail to walk this first morning of the time change with Tucker. Sorry it ended on an aggravating note, some folks just don't have a clue! Happy new week!
ReplyDeleteYeah, he showed up at the Grits too. Like anybody cares what he's doing. LOL It is a lovely place to walk. I love the early morning- the max number of people out there are 3 and 2 are at the dog park. You would think that littering would not be happening anymore. It's 2014 for goodness sakes. :)
DeleteIt bothers me too, how bloody hard is it to throw ones rubbish in the bin and if there is no bin take it home with you and throw it away then
ReplyDeleteThere are garbage cans out there. Not right where they left the things but less than a quarter of a mile away AND they walk right past them on the way out. Idiots.
DeleteBeautiful sunrise, but ugh that trash! It irritates me when ever I find litter. It's not that hard to put into the trash instead of pitching it out the window.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize people still did that. All they had to do is carry those things less than a quarter of a mile to the cans on their way out.
DeleteYeah, the cans are bad, but man, that scenery is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI seriously hope this doesn't become the norm out there. Seeing it once is one thing, seeing it every weekend will be quite another.
