1. What have you 'fallen for' recently? Well, it certainly wasn't the weather report because, if I had, I would be totally pissed since it's still summertime highs out there and NOT the cooler temps they claimed we'd have by now.
2. What's something you're 'squirreling away' for later? Apparently, total relaxation in a clean, tidy house. Because it's not going to happen until these people move back out.
3. How do you like your apples? Sweet? Tart? Crisp? Cooked? Apples are one of the superfoods for fall...how often do you eat an apple either plain or as part of a favorite recipe? What's your favorite variety? I love apples no matter how they are prepared. I eat a good many of them just plain and my favorites are Golden Delicious.
5. The topic of legalizing marijuana was raised in the most recent televised political debate so let's wade in too. Twenty-three states and the District of Columbia currently have laws legalizing marijuana in some form. Four states have legalize marijuana for recreational use. Your thoughts? I'm for it and that's all I'm going to say. Because I can say a whole lot about this and alcohol. But I'm not going to. Nope. Not gonna do it.
7. Thursday (September 24) is National Punctuation Day. What rule of punctuation trips you up most often? What rule of punctuation, when broken by someone else, bugs you the most? The misuse (or non-use) of the comma irks the crap out of me. The semi-colon throws me off sometimes. And I never use the colon.
8. Insert your own random thought here. It's job city in our family lately. Three of our family members have new jobs: DoodleBug is the newest first grade teacher at my school which just happens to be the school she and her sisters attended in elementary school; Breezy, our artist in residence, is the newest artist at Wine and Design; and Deanie is the newest designer at Hastings Architecture. Goodness! It's time for me to retire and let these people support me. Ha! AND, today is an early release day from school! WooHoo!
Have a wonderful rest of the week, y'all!
Congrats on all the new jobs in the family! It's a good feeling when everybody is employed. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteTrying this comment thing again. That last one did all sorts of correcting without my consent : ) Working adult children is a beautiful thing...congrats to all on their new employment! Hoping you get a taste of fall soon. We've had some less humid temps lately and I'm happy to pull out my blue jeans again. Enjoy your shortened work day!
ReplyDeleteGotta love technology, eh? LOL Yes it is! And I hope the two living here will live elsewhere because of those jobs. LOL I hope so too. This heat and humidity is getting old. The shortened work day turned into a PD. Sigh.
DeletePam, it sounds like your daughters have fun and interesting jobs...and doesn't that make you happy as a mom!! Let me know when you find that New England town. I'll join you. Probably somewhere in Vermont, maybe along a river. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThey do! And they're all happy, so that's even better! I'll keep you posted on the little town. Though I don't know why you'd want to leave your little piece of heaven. :)
DeleteDoodle Bug at Whitesides - that is fantastic!!! I know she will love it and they will love her.
ReplyDeleteYes! It's so awesome! She is having the hardest time calling Carla and Gloria by their names. They're still Mrs. Norris and Mrs. Campbell to her. LOL
DeleteThat's great news about the lovlies' new jobs! Enjoy your early release day. We have to take pleasure where we can find it :)
ReplyDeleteKathy (Reflections by Kathy)
Well, was going to take pleasure in it. But it turned into a PD. Boring and had to stay. UGH.
DeleteShowed Amber the Parmesan flakes all of the counter from last night and all I get is "See I can never do anything right!" We love our Netflix too. That is so exciting about the new jobs for everyone.....way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteHa! I get things like, "I don't like to do dishes." Good grief. Thanks!
DeleteTotally agree on finding a quaint little town to go to every fall and enjoy the people and the leaves. If I could ever find one or know where to go. That is one of my bucket list things.
ReplyDeleteLucky on the early release..I have another three weeks till I get another one!
Wouldn't that just be the greatest?! I'd move there speedy quick. Our early release turned into a mandatory PD. Good grief, save me. LOL
DeleteIs the small New England town a place to visit or move to? I would prefer the northwest over the northeast for relocating. We had a great visit to New Hampshire a few years back. Took a guided boat ride on lake that was using in "On Golden Pond". Nice area.
ReplyDeleteI would move there. Until the bitter cold sets in, that is. LOL
DeleteCongratulations on the new jobs and if you want to send some of your heat this way I wouldn't mind!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And you can have it! But, you have to take the humidity too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love apples fresh or cooked either or are for me, it is spring here although today it feels more like winter as in it is cold, dark and wet
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all the new jobs!! New jobs....new apartments....maybe?! I enjoyed your answers! Joyce always out-does herself!
