Because the day has finally arrived that I get to tell everyone why Thanksgiving was the BEST EVER!
You know, when you have multiple kids and they're all home for a holiday except for one, it's that one that stays on your mind. But it makes things a bit easier when some other kid of yours has some exciting news to share.
These two goobers ran the Turkey Day Run downtown and then came for dinner. They brought a lovely card with them this year.
Here's the front:
Inside message:
Thaaaaat's right! In July, I will be joining that most exclusive club- The Grandmother's Club! Y'all can now call me, Yaya! WooHoo!
I've got a friend who has a crib for my house. I even bought him/her a Christmas gift this year:
I'm a grandma-to-be who's on the ball, y'all!
I am so excited to FINALLY be able to share this wonderful news with all of you!
I promise to do the Christmas post soon!
I am now collecting advice for new grandmothers. Although, I'm pretty sure I can do what I want since I AM the grandmother. Right?
Leave your advice in the comments and everyone should come down here on June 11 for the Grandmothers' Baby Shower!
I am so glad you got to do a post finally!! Haha advice. I don't have any except hang onto your hat, its a wild ride. :) Congratulations to you and your lovely family. You will be the best granny ever. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, I was about to explode with this news! Thanks for letting me share it with you early. :)
DeleteThank you! I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteJust make sure the baby is born July 31st!! Congrats ya ya!! :)
ReplyDeleteMolly says July 24. You'd fit right in our family. We already have 4 July birthdays! :)
DeleteSuch a fun post and I am so excited for you!! Congratulations! Let the spoiling begin!! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my co-workers is called "Queen" by her grandchildren. I'm serious! I like Yaya!
Wait. Queen???? Oh, I really like that one! LOL :)
DeleteCongratulations Pam. I can just imagine how excited you are! I can still remember when I was told I was going to be a grandma for the first time and that was 18 years ago! My only advice is to make the most of every second, as the years go by waaaaay to fast! I love being called Grandma! To me it's the most wonderful name in the world!
ReplyDeleteI'm so honored to join the lovely members of this amazing club! I know. I've enjoyed watching your grands grow up right before my eyes, well, sort of, and they are so grown up already! I will take my time and treasure each moment just as I've loved watching you do! Hey, if the baby ends up calling me goofy, I'll take it. LOL Thank you, Diane!
DeleteThank you! I'm so happy too! This is going to be the best ride EVER! :)
ReplyDeleteThis nanna loves being a nanna, I am not a grandma, grandma sounds too old and I am not old just saying. I am so happy for you
ReplyDeleteThat's what I think too. I'm just not old enough to bear the 'grandma' title. But, Yaya? Sure thing. LOL Thank you!
DeleteI am SOOOOO jealous! I don't think I'll ever have grandkids...or daughters in law for that matter! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't give up! Just when you think it won't happen--BOOM! :)
