I suppose if children were involved, you would keep the ex's face around but, in our family, this has not proven to be the case. So far. Anyway...
Ask anyone who has known me since childhood and they'll tell you that I am the crazy lady behind the camera at every event, large or small and on a daily basis even if it's simply taking pictures of the dog or the birds eating birdseed off the deck. I can't help myself.
I have at least a gazillion photos around my house and I come up with projects other than scrapbooking to make good use of those pix. The last big projects I made were these:
And now---
Stink face:
No more stink face:
Problem solved.
However, from this moment on, whenever I'm taking pictures, I will insist that some of them be only of the four lovelies. I can't tell y'all how many stink faces I have in about half of those gazillion photos.
Now, how does this factor into the August Happiness Challenge? Well, covering up stink face makes Daughter 1 happy and when my daughters are happy, I am happy! :)
Ha!! Good job!! Let's see....our Son#1 is on wife #3 and Son#2 is also divorced with quite a few ladies in his life since then. I am always re-doing the digital photo frame that runs all the time in our living room on the book shelf. And that is just our boys!! Yes, I understand! LOL
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it drive you nuts?! LOL I would not have minded keeping that face but, things just didn't work out. And, the daughters have to come first here. :) Hope you're having a great week!
DeleteVery clever!
ReplyDeleteI had to do something. And it only took me two years to figure it out. LOL Thanks!
DeleteI thought a picture modifying program was going to come up. I like your simpler idea. Your stink face problem is very common but I didn't know it was called this.
ReplyDeleteI coined the term. Haha! It's all I could come up with that would make a point but not insult anyone. I thought about using the same photos and doing something to that face but I don't know of a program that would do that except maybe Photoshop and who has that kind of money. :) Perhaps Picmonkey would offer something but I do enjoy seeing the grandlove's picture every time I look at those projects. :)
DeleteNot a problem I have had, although many years ago I had a canvas photo done of my sisters children and grandchildren the original had her husband in it but since they were no longer together I had him removed from the photo found someone on eBay to do it.
ReplyDeleteThat was a smart idea! There were no children involved though so, getting those pix off was fine. But having the face removed from other photos is a good idea! I'll have to look into that! Thanks!
