Someone is 30 Today!
It's here! This kid is 30 years old today!
I can't get that thing in the middle to save my life. Anyway...
I'm not gonna lie, y'all. I teared up making this little slideshow. Not because I miss the days of the lovelies being little even though I do. Not because I want to do it all over again because I know I can't. No, it's because of how proud I am of this girl. It's because of how much I love her. It's because I'm so old now. Haha! I kid, I kid. I mean, it IS April Fool's Day. And yes, she LOVES that her birthday falls on this particular day.
There's no doubt that this girl will go far in life. She knows how to be positive and happy. She puts her best foot forward every single day no matter what. She's a go-getter. She's smart, talented, creative, and gives more than her all in every situation. She lives and loves with her whole heart. She rises above hate and adversity and stands up strong and firm for what's right and fair and just. She gives with an open heart, without expectation of return. She is always up for traveling and new adventures. She is honest, loyal, trustworthy. I am truly blessed to be called her mom.
I love you, my Deanie girl and I hope you're having the best time celebrating your birthday even though you're in Malibu instead of here with us (nothing like a little mom guilt trip on your birthday, eh? LOL)

Hi, Pam - I stopped over at your blog from the Blogging Grandmothers Link Up. From your comment, I thought that we might have a few things in common. From your About Page and this post, turns out that we have TONS in common. I also have four children (all boys). My eldest (step)son turns 40 today (how is that even possible?). I loved your video. Your daughter is stunning. May you all enjoy this special day!
ReplyDelete4 boys! Wow! I'm not sure I could have handled four boys. :) And if one of these girls ever turns 40 on me....LOL I'm still trying to figure out the SEO stuff. You'd never know I taught technology to elementary students. :)
Deletepam, i too am a mom of all girls (3). once i got used to not having variety of the sexual type, i enjoyed the variety of personalities and the joy of raising daughters:) i enjoyed your post today:) do you make those cute coasters? how clever! can you actually doodle on them? how fun!
ReplyDeleteI loved raising daughters, too! It was such fun! I did make the coasters. I draw the designs and then seal them for use as coasters. :) HEY! Are you the Martha who bought a set today???? Thank you!
DeleteHappy Birthday to Deanie! I enjoyed the slideshow.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll pass it on to her!
DeleteHappy birthday to your beautiful Deanie! Your Smilebox video is so great. I didn't get to meet Deanie, but knowing you made me tear up a couple of times as I watched your picture show. She is all those things you wrote about because she has you for a mom. A pretty awesome combination there!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, Terri you're making me tear up again. You are way too kind! Thank you so much!
DeleteI hope a great birthday was had and enjoyed, with lots of love and presents and cake if one likes cake
ReplyDeleteShe's been texting me and says she's having a blast. They're in Malibu, CA for a wedding and her friends are throwing her a party out there. She's a lucky girl! She sent me a picture of the cake and it was fantastic! Thanks!
DeleteI love that you threw in a little bit of mother guilt-tripping (it's what we excel at!) Our daughter turned 28 on March 31st (she just missed out on being an April Fools baby) Your girl is gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI just couldn't resist. LOL I have a 28 year old, too. And a 26 year old. And a 32 year old. Two 30 and over, 2 still in their 20s..How in the world did I get this old? LOL Thank you!
DeletePam, sounds like Deanie is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside! You probably sometimes think, "She can't be 30 - *I* can't be more than 30 myself!"
ReplyDeleteShe it and I'm not just saying that because I'm her mother. :) That's exactly what I think. LOL
DeleteI hope Deanie had a great birthday. From reading your blog for awhile I believe she has a great family to support her.
ReplyDeleteShe did, thank you! We are, if nothing else, a close-knit family. And then there's the fact that us gals have to stick together. LOL
