How in the world Thanksgiving arrived so quickly I'll never understand. This thing called life is flying by at record speeds or so it seems which makes me sit and think a minute about the good things in life which led to a couple of thankful lists.
I don't know why I don't write a thankful list every single day. I've tried but I seem to lose steam after a week or so in. It's not that I'm not thankful I just can't seem to write it down on a daily basis. I suppose it's good that I have them in my head but wouldn't a grateful journal be nice to find once we've moved on from this world? Anyway, my general-ish list focuses on the first non-specific thankfuls that came to mind.
30 Days of November Thankfulness (in no particular order):
- Friends who take the time
- Fresh baked cookies
- Pets
- Waking up each day
- Quiet
- Football season
- Cool weather
- Hot chocolate
- Differences
- Fall colors
- Holiday food prep
- Ceramic wizards
- Caring yet not intrusive neighbors
- Clean sheets
- Privacy
- Deep belly laughs
- Family time
- Family recipes
- Sister love
- Full moons
- Bulky sweaters
- Conversation
- Giving
- Kindness
- Parents
- Holiday movies
- Morning coffee
- Organized everything
- Encouraging words whether received or given
- Birds
I thought I would have a hard time coming up with 30 thankfuls but it turns out I could have gone on some more. Yes, I know I left daughters and grandchildren off the list but they're coming! They get their own list.
Did Y'all do a thankful list this year? Is anyone good at keeping a daily grateful journal?

Good Morning Pam,
ReplyDeleteI need to start another one. I found that once I start one, it is like a snowball and it just gets bigger and bigger. I love your list. I do hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving with all of your friends and family. I am thankful for you!!!
I always start them and then they taper off. I have no idea how to keep it going. Thank you! Are you hosting this year? I'm thankful for you too, my wonderful friend who lives way too far away!
DeleteNice list! No, I start journals and then forget about them. I should do a thankful list.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that with journals. Yes, do one! I'd love to read it!
DeleteMy blogging friend, Rebecca Jo, over at Knit By God's Hand (she has a knitting Etsy shop, by the way) does a thankful journal and shares part of it with us every Thursday for her thankful link-up. She, and now you, give good inspiration to do a daily thankful list. Perhaps that will work for me in the New Year. Yes.
ReplyDeleteDoes she give tips on how to keep one going? I start out with a Bang! but it only last a little while and then fizzles out. I'll have to check out her blog and her shop!
DeleteI am thankful for being another year older, birthdays are awesome the more I have the more time I have with my family
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
