This is your head, Baby R. |
2. What's something you should say yes to today? I should say, YES to getting fit or at least to getting up off my rear more than I do. Or this week? Same. Or even this year? That and getting myself organized again. I've hit that point where I've moved stuff around and now it's time to organize it. Maybe in my spare time. Ha!
3. Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day in any way, shape, or form? Not since the lovelies went and grew up. If so tell us how. We do still wear green because none of us would appreciate a stranger giving up a pinch if we don't don the green. I did buy a couple shamrock tees for Bug to wear to school on Friday because they'll celebrate and once she and Baby R get a bit older, I'll go back to celebrating all the little holidays like we used to. In Western cultures the color green is typically associated with jealousy, nature, good luck, and growth. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word 'green'? The first thing that comes to mind is it's TeacherDaughter's favorite color. The next thing is my amazement at all the shades of green I see around here in the summer months. It's the one thing I don't mind about summer. Ha!
4. What's a product or service you love so much you'd happily be their spokesperson? There are several products I can get behind and of course, they do not come to mind for this question. I could be a spokesperson for my Shark vacuum. Tell us what makes you such a fan. What can I say? The thing does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. It's easy to use and has served me well. Usually, I can give a whole spill on a product I love but I'm just not finding my words right now. Maybe some of your answers will inspire me on this one.
5. March 14th is Pi Day. How are your math skills? What math skills? What's the last thing you did that required math of any kind? I said, "I'm not stupid I can put two and two together and get four." But I wasn't talking about math I was applying what little bit I know about math to a bit of sarcasm. And most importantly do you like pie? I do. What's your favorite kind? Just one? No way because it depends on my mood but pecan, cherry, egg custard, coconut custard, banana cream...With ice cream, whipped cream, or please hold the cream? Ice cream but only on the cherry pie.
6. Insert your own random thought here. That nasty daylight savings time change is messing with me again this year. I am not a fan of springing forward and it's going to take me at least one week to adjust thus the muddled thinking right now. Ok, thus the even more muddled thinking right now. Meanwhile, I'll take my morning coffee intravenously.
Have a wonderful rest of the week, y'all!
I love the title of your post! What Math skills? I can identify. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I need it with this time change. UGH.
DeleteI can just see Bug in her shamrock shirt. Cute! A berry pie would be my favorite, or lemon, and I'm eager to see green around here. If you get organized again, let me know how it feels. Lol
ReplyDeleteLEMON! I forgot all about my mother's lemon pie. I can eat the whole thing in one day. :) I know you're ready for spring up there in the frozen tundra. LOL
DeleteYou and I have the same answer for our "say yes". I bought a dress for Easter this year, nothing fancy but when it arrived I didn't much care for the way it fit. I decided to try a size up but when I went to reorder the next size was out of stock. I probably should have returned the dress, but I liked it so much I decided it was time to make it look good...5 or so pounds should do the trick but do ya think I can lose it??? NOPE! Still have a couple weeks to go, it's not impossible but I'm getting a wee bit discouraged.
ReplyDeleteLosing any amount isn't easy. At least not for me so I quit trying. LOL I hope one day I'll lose a lot of these pounds that keep me from doing some things I want to do. Good luck to you, though! Don't let that discouragement stop you from keeping on track!
DeleteWe're trying to get back into the correct time here too. Between the three hour time change with the west coast and losing an hour with the time change I'm off. We're also trying to regain our lost good eating habits. Once you begin the slide it's hard to recover : ) I've planned a whole week of menus now just need to stick to it! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteOh girl, if I had to add the west coast time with daylight savings I probably wouldn't get over it until we fall back. LOL Good luck with the healthy eating. I should do that, too. Ha!
DeleteI don't mind the spring forward in the evenings because it stays light longer, but in the morning I do not like taking the dog out in the dark. She wants to walk & I don't like being on the street in the dark, even with a flashlight.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I've noticed as I get older, I love, love, love just being at home. We used to run all the time and now I crave just being in my home with hubby and the pup.
Have a great day!!
I don't like having to spend extra daylight hours in the hot sun during the spring and summer which is what happens with daylight savings time. I used to walk Tucker at 5:30 every morning and even with the flashlight I just knew I heard someone creeping behind me or a coyote or something. Even though it was nothing it's hard to believe that when it's dark out. LOL I'm the same way about staying home. Tucker and I are definitely home bodies. Though he wishes I would still walk him at 5:30. ha!
DeleteThe time change has me all messed up, too. I wish they'd just leave it alone--one way or the other!
ReplyDeleteI, too, need to work on getting in better shape...
Kathy (Reflections)
I do, too but I don't see that happening. I also don't see me getting into better shaped any time soon. Sigh. :)
DeleteLOL .. I am with you on the time change. WE NEED to do SOMETHING about it! Why on earth still have it. We all are on the go, go 24/7 these days. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree but I don't think anything is going to change about the change. LOL
DeleteI'll take pie over cake most every time. We don't need daylight savings time. Nothing is saved. On this pi day (3.14) renowned physicist, Stephen Hawking died. It was also Einstein's birthday.
ReplyDeleteI'm the opposite. I'll take the cake. Ha! I heard about Hawking. How amazing is it he live over 50 decades longer than they said he would!
DeleteI hate springing forward too. Yuck. Those two children are so cute and bug is growing up so fast! They are so blessed to have you with them so much of the time. I enjoyed your Hodgepodge answers!
ReplyDeleteI'm having such fun with them. I am picking Marcy up from school early this week and she is loving it! She comes running to me and points to the door every day. LOL She loves her school but I think she loves grandma's house more. :) Thank you, Terri!
DeleteIt's nice that the cousin's have each other as buddies. Me too with "Yes to getting fit and organized!" I'm a broken record. So your selection is large on the pies you like. Our son in law like egg custard. I wish the time would just stay the same.
ReplyDeleteOh how I liked this post
